Rev Kathryn Rayner
What Is Spiritual Accompaniment?

"Spiritual accompaniment" is the process of helping you to find your own truth, your own voice and your own strength. This truth can be found during a process or a moment.

Rev. Rayner's approach to spiritual accompaniment is to facilitate the creation of a safe and sacred environment for each person which invites Spirit (as understood by the client) to be present. This sacred space will be open and welcoming, so that the person will feel as though they can share their stories honestly and fully without judgment. Rev. Rayner believes that Spirit, God, or whatever the Divine may be, will lead us to our own conclusions within this space, if we just trust and allow it to happen.

The main goal of spiritual accompaniment is to assist you in coming to know yourself as whole, as completely acceptable and worthy of love, able to love and forgive, and fully accepted and loved by the Divine AND to see that truth in everyone.

Spiritual accompaniment is NOT in-depth psychotherapy. Rev. Rayner is not a licensed professional therapist. Spiritual accompaniment is a helping relationship focusing on spiritual concerns and difficulties.

If Rev. Rayner feels that she is not qualified to help you with your situation, she will refer you to a more qualified professional that will treat you with the care and respect that you deserve.
