Premarital Education is an opportunity for a couple to discover the strengths and areas of growth within their relationship and to learn skills to help build their relationship more fully. In this program, the couples will be using the PREPARE customized couple assessment inventory created by Life Innovations, Inc. PREPARE stands for PREmarital Personal And Relationship Evaluation. This assessment is designed to address the major relationship issues a couple may experience. These areas include marriage expectations, cohabitation issues, marriage satisfaction, life transitions, personality differences, communication, conflict resolution, stress management, financial management, leisure activities, sexual expectations, sexual relationship, children and parenting, inter-generational issues, family & friends, health issues, role relationship, role changes, and spiritual beliefs. They are also tailored to address issues that are specific for different types of couple relationships, such as pre-marital couples, pre-marital with children, cohabiting couples with our without children, couples over the age of 50. The Premarital Education program consists of 8 feedback sessions which include couple discussion, life-skill training and exercises.
